24 North Bailey... the Union Society Bar
Sunday - Thursday 7.30pm - 11.30pm
Friday & Saturday 7.30pm - 12am
The Union Society's very own bar, situated at 24 North Bailey in the centre of town, hosts many of the Union's social events. It's also one of the Durham's best bars and is a key feature in any night out on the Bailey. Offering a great range of cocktails, shooters and imported beers - surpassing most other student bars - 24 has a unique atmosphere. Recently refurbished and with its own beer garden, this is a fantastic place to drink all year round.
Events at 24 North Bailey
24NB is a wonderful venue, allowing the Union Society to host its own socials from wine-tasting to cock-tail making, Halloween to St Patricks Day, the Royal Wedding to Election Night. And of course, our wonderful Summer Garden Party.

Living and working at 24 North Bailey
We also offer seven large rooms as student accommodation, giving members the chance to live right in the centre of Durham, next door to 24. Applications to live there normally open in late Michaelmas: they are closed for 2010/11 but details will be available for the following year in December.
The bar is staffed by students who are members of the Society. If you would like to apply for a shift, want to help run social events or want to book any of the facilities at 24, please email info@dus.org.uk.
Details on reserving any of the facilities at 24 North Bailey, including the bar, Reading Room, Snooker Room and the en suite guest bedroom (double and single bed) at subsidised rates for members are available here.
