Directions to the Union

Leave the A1 (M) at junction for A690 to Durham and follow the A690 into Durham. At the roundabout, follow signs to the city centre and turn off at the third exit. At the next roundabout (at the bottom of the hill) take the second exit, up a slip road signed the 'Prince Bishop P'
  1. Leave A1(M) at junction for A690 to Durham and follow the A690 into Durham.
  2. At the roundabout, follow signs to the city centre – third exit from the roundabout.
  3. At the next roundabout (at the bottom of the hill), take the second exit, up a slip road – signed “Prince Bishop P”.
  4. Go to top of the sliproad and turn left into the cobbled market place.
  5. Bear left through the traffic lights.
  6. Follow the road up the hill.
  7. Turn right into “Owengate” – a steep cobbled hill – which leads to Palace Green.The Union Society is housed in the Pemberton Building – the second last building on the left-hand side as you face the cathedral, next door to "The Almshouses" restaurant.
