Freshers' Drinks: Sunday 12th October

The year begins with Freshers' Drinks, which are kindly sponsored by Slaughter and May. The evening is a perfect chance for new members to get to know each other. It is a night of sparkling wine, cheesy music and steamy-hot pizza: all those elements which come together to make the first year at Durham so fantastic. Freshers' Drinks is a great way to escape from the madness of Freshers' Fortnight.

Come and see what the Union is all about. Please do take the opportunity to ask any questions you might have about getting involved. Non-members will also be able to join at this event and can immediately begin to drink away the cost of membership on the provided wine.

Mince Pies and Mulled Wine: Tuesday 9th December

Durham's Christmas season starts with a bang at the Union. Gallons of mulled wine, bottles of port and piles of mince pies are laid on in a specially decorated 24 completely free for members. Hundreds of members come during the evening to enjoy themselves to full, before that end of term essay crisis!
